Mission Two Entertainment is proud to welcome DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY to the roster. Hailed as the next coming of rock history, DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY formed in 2017 by frontman Michael Orlando as guitar-driven, ‘gothy, catchy rock n roll’ (as described by Kerrang! Magazine), and quickly gained fans by the thousands, applauded for their intense visual live show.

Watch “This Is War.”

‘This Is War’ is as hard and heavy as the streets of Los Angeles, where it was written. The track jumped up the Billboard Rock Indicator and Foundations Charts and has received airplay from countless radio supporters across the country. “In the wake of this madness, surrounded by uncertainty, the world needs hope. We need to preserve and survive. We need to fight, this is war,” declares Orlando. Originally recorded as a gift for patient fans, the song is the latest offering from DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY and comes from the band’s sophomore album, Doves In Glass Houses, set for release later this year on Mission Two Entertainment. The track was mastered by Andy Vandette (David Bowie, Rush) and mixed by Malcolm Springer (Matchbox 20, Fear Factory).

“In the middle of this pandemic, I got the most amazing phone call. The first thing I heard was ‘The world needs rock ‘n’ roll now more than ever!’ I could not agree more, and that voice was (Mission Two Entertainment founder) Tony Brummel. It had been a long time since we talked and we’ve been on the same wavelength about the state of music since we first met. Tony brought the world some of my favorite bands like Taking Back Sunday, Thursday and Hatebreed. I knew I needed to follow my gut and sign with his new label Mission Two Entertainment!”

DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY released their debut album, Alchemy, in 2018 on Victory Records, which produced two Billboard Top 40 placements with “I’ll Find A Way” and “No Way Out.” Both songs also reached Top 30 at Active Rock Radio. The band then spent the next two years on tour with John 5, Falling In Reverse, Adelita’s Way, Badflower and numerous festivals including Warped Tour, Epicenter, Inkcarceration, Welcome To Rockville and dozens of regional radio festivals.

Don't Sleep Premiere “Refine Me” Video, Announce Debut Full-Length Album, Turn The Tide, and Reveal Pre-Order Packages

As soon as the state of Pennsylvania gave the green-light to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, DON’T SLEEP immediately took advantage to record the music video “Refine Me,” an anthem about how to come out stronger on the other side. Vocalist Dave Smalley insists that, “We need to take inspiration from those that try to bring us down. Either through work, or family, or sadly in music - we get hurt in life, we all feel pain. People will betray you and as the old saying goes, ‘what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger’ echoes that truth, and “Refine Me” acts as a reminder to remember that. It is important to be forged and refined by the flames of adversity. Let your enemies make you stronger.” Watch “Refine Me” on the Mission Two Entertainment YouTube Channel now!
DON’T SLEEP will be releasing their debut full-length album, Turn The Tide, via Mission Two Entertainment on September 4th. Hailing from Harrisburg, PA / Washington D.C. DON’T SLEEP, features Dave Smalley, the singer of influential hardcore and punk bands: Dag Nasty, Down By Law, DYS, and All, as well as Garrett Rothman (bass), Tom McGrath (guitar), Jim Bedorf (drums), and Tony Bavaria (guitar), who have performed in Praise, Mindset, The Commercials, Very Americans, and Junction. While originally DON’T SLEEP started to back Dave up while playing songs from his former bands, the members all became fast friends and began writing new material that would eventually become Turn The Tide.
Bursting with energy and full-volume catchy choruses, Turn The Tide was produced by multi-Grammy-nominated partners Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Galactic Empire, Everclear), Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools), and Matt Holmes at Think Loud Studios. DON’T SLEEP teamed up with Walter Schreifels to co-write the songs “No Other Way”, “Reflection”, and “True North”. Additional engineering was done by Brian McTernan (Senses Fail, Snapcase, Thrice) at Salad Days Studio.

The Tiger Returns: Hardcore Pioneers Insight Return

Salt Lake City hardcore pioneers, INSIGHT, have returned to release a 19-track, career-spanning collection of material titled Reflection. To mark the occasion, No Echo is premiering the “Take It Back” music video for the first new song in 30 years, which holds true to INSIGHT’s trademark aggressive sound. The track is one of four new featured on Reflection, set for release on July 31st, 2020 on Mission Two Entertainment.

The band was one of Victory Records’ first signed artists back in 1989, releasing the out-of-print EP What Will It Take the following year. Fast forward 30 years later and those songs are seeing the light of day once again via Reflection. In addition to the EP and four new songs, the album features hard-to-find compilation tracks, and a live set from 1989 while on tour supporting Social Distortion.

“Reflection, the title definitely says it all,” laments vocalist Mark Starr. “This album is a retrospect and a reflection to the history of INSIGHT. Most of those songs were written when we were teenagers back in the ‘80s and still have meaning for those who supported us back then.” “With our new songs I hope it’s clear about how we feel about the current administration. I am very opposed to what is happening with our government but it’s safe to say most have felt that way for years. I also encourage living a meat-free, cruelty-free, lifestyle,” adds Starr.

Pre-order packages for INSIGHT – Reflection are available now and feature all-new merchandise including t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeve shirts, gym shorts, embroidered hat, and more. Reflection will be available as limited-edition colored vinyl with gatefold packaging. Cro-Mags Premiere New Music Video For “From The Grave”

CRO-MAGS have premiered a new music video for the single, “From The Grave,” featuring former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell. Watch “From The Grave” now at Revolver. The band’s first full-length album in 20 years, In The Beginning, will be available June 19th on Mission Two Entertainment.

“The idea for the video is that I'm rising from the grave and going on a mission... like I came back from the dead to become the Grim Reaper himself,” explains CRO-MAGS founder, bassist and vocalist Harley Flanagan on the clip. “I think anybody who knows the history of this band and my life will get it. It starts at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, where I will be buried with my family and in-laws. In the opening shot, the grave I'm in front of is actually my mothers.”

As CRO-MAGS toured with Motörhead in 1986, Flanagan adds, “Phil is one of my favorite guitarists of all time and I still can’t believe I have him playing on one of my songs! I am so honored. The b-roll of Phil was shot by his son Todd Campbell at his recording studio in Wales, UK.”

Pre-order packages for In The Beginning are available now and feature all-new CRO-MAGS merchandise. In The Beginning will be available as a digipak CD, limited-edition colored vinyl, and limited-edition colored cassette tape. After a historic 30 year run with close to 16 million albums sold and numerous platinum and gold albums and singles, the team behind VICTORY RECORDS has launched MISSION TWO ENTERTAINMENT.

“Same job, different name, bigger mission,” promises CEO/founder Tony Brummel. “I started Victory Records in 1989 with $800.00. I made a different deal and I have not submitted like so many other ‘independents.’ I kept the entire staff. Let’s go!”

The inaugural release will be delivered by hardcore legends CRO-MAGS, led by founder, bassist and vocalist Harley Flanagan. Debuting their first studio album since 2000 with the aptly titled In The Beginning, the album will be released on June 19th, 2020. The full-length features the latest single "The Final Test," as well as the previously released “From The Grave,” featuring ex-Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell. The NYC quartet recorded "The Quarantine Show" on March 15, 2020 live from New York City. “I first saw the CRO-MAGS open for Venom in 1985 in Chicago when I was 13 years old after moving home from the Bahamas. After that show, I knew I was not going to college,” says Brummel. The band is rounded out by guitarists Rocky George (Suicidal Tendencies), Gabby Abularach and drummer Garry Sullivan.

As one of the founders of the Salt Lake City punk scene, the reunited INSIGHT will issue Reflection later this summer. The 19-track collection spans their short but blistering career with four brand new tracks, rare live tracks and vintage studio material. Brummel says, “INSIGHT are a great band that my old band Even Score played with in Salt Lake City in 1990. Such an underrated band and better human beings.”

DON’T SLEEP, led by ex-DAG NASTY/DYS/ALL frontman Dave Smalley, will release their full length Mission Two debut later this year, Turn The Tide, with Smalley adding, “It is a new era for hardcore and I am really happy with it.” Brummel adds, “DYS and Dag Nasty were huge inspirations for me and I love Dave, the band and their manager Matt Holmes.”
