DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY premiere “Agonize” music video and Doves In Glass Houses is out now
DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY is delivering another act of rock and roll chaos with “Agonize,” the band’s third music video from their new album Doves In Glass Houses, available digitally worldwide. Like any good mystery, Doves In Glass Houses peels back the layers of a compelling, emotional and dramatic life led by DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY linchpin and vocalist Michael Orlando. The overcoming of demons and redemption reveals the answers and other intriguing questions paralyzing Orlando’s life.
Filmed by director Scott Hansen (MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, A DAY TO REMEMBER), Orlando adds, “We literally shut down the Hard Rock Café on the Las Vegas Strip. Scott had the vision of using a movie projector on my face and body, projecting occultist type images throughout. I’m known for publicly airing my dirty laundry through my lyrics,” admits Orlando, “but with this song I really wanted to take those bottled up feelings from a toxic relationship and get them off my chest, once and for all.”
On the visual imagery behind DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY, Orlando adds, “I wanted to venture back into my goth roots and create something close to my heart. I used to be bullied nonstop about the way I dressed and the makeup I wore. It was a constant battle! There were so many industry people and fellow artists that gave me a hard time about my stage name, ‘Michael Vampire,’ and the fact I tried to keep a mystique about myself. Nowadays, things have drastically changed for the better. You have artists like Yungblud, Palaye Royale, Ghostemane and even Machine Gun Kelly wearing makeup proudly! I felt it was time to bring back the old me with a 2020 twist and I am very thankful I did. I finally feel like myself again!”
DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY DELIVER NSFW VIDEO “ADDICTED TO YOUR HEART”
Ahead of their anticipated sophomore album Doves In Glass Houses (out tomorrow), DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY have delivered their second video from the record, the visually arousing and haunting “Addicted To Your Heart.” Viewer discretion is advised.
“This song was extremely hard for me to write,” admits DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY architect and vocalist Michael Orlando. “When I sat down to write this song I had to decide how to approach the toxic relationships of my past. The amount of anxiety and pain I endured during a particular time has stuck with me like crazy glue. No matter how great my day is going, I can always count on memories of this past relationship to supply the anger and sadness needed to write a song. It just poured out of me and the outcome is explaining how I am ‘Addicted To Your Heart.’”
Adoration at radio is nothing new for DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY as their previous video, “This Is War,” described as “An action-packed single” by KNAC, was released earlier this year as a gift for patient fans. Their debut album, Alchemy, released in 2018 on Victory Records, produced two Billboard Top 40 hits with “I’ll Find A Way” and “No Way Out.” Both songs also reached Top 30 at Active Rock Radio. The band then spent the next two years touring non-stop with JOHN 5, FALLING IN REVERSE, ADELITA’S WAY, BADFLOWER and numerous festivals including Warped Tour, Epicenter, Inkcarceration, Welcome To Rockville and dozens of regional radio festivals.
In 2019, DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY, rounded out by guitarist Craig Pirtle and skin-basher Zachary Moore, teamed up with three vastly different producers to create Doves In Glass Houses - Malcolm Springer (MATCHBOX 20, FEAR FACTORY), Kris Crummett (DANCE GAVIN DANCE, SLEEPING WITH SIRENS), and Nick Sampson (WE CAME AS ROMANS, POLYPHIA). Orlando goes on to add, “We recorded a majority of the album at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, CA (NO DOUBT, LINKIN PARK, EVANESCENCE).” With his transparent heart on his sleeve, Orlando adds, “I am so proud of Alchemy, but I decided the follow-up would be much more honest.” Songs like “Bleeding Faith,” “Inside Out” and “Just For Tonight” take the listener through the bands groove-heavy guitar virtuosity, addictive vocals and layers of sonic rock n roll.
Hailed as the next coming of rock history, DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY was formed in 2017 by frontman Orlando as ‘gothy, catchy rock n roll’ (Kerrang! Magazine), and quickly gained fans by the thousands, applauded for their theatrically intense live show. As their tour supporting WEDNESDAY 13 was scrapped amidst the pandemic, new DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY dates will be announced soon.

DON’T SLEEP cover TOM PETTY’s classic – “Runnin’ Down A Dream”
DON’T SLEEP are celebrating the life and times of Tom Petty, with their newly released cover of the legendary songwriter’s track “Runnin’ Down A Dream”. Listen to “Runnin’ Down A Dream” now.
“Tom Petty is a musical treasure,” admits frontman Dave Smalley. “His music is one of those rare things that nearly everyone vibes on - everyone from hippies to hardcore hoodlums. When DON’T SLEEP was talking about what cover song we wanted to do, there were lots of great ideas but there was always one guy saying "yeah but..." But when our lead guitarist Tom McGrath suggested Tom Petty, and specifically this song, there was zero hesitation from anyone. To make a cover great, you need to feel it. And everyone felt it. We tracked this in The Green Room studio in Harrisburg, PA with producer Matt Holmes, and it was done super late in the evening, after midnight. Energy levels through the roof, karma bright. Those guys played their asses off. I had a ton of fun singing it, and the words are freaking phenomenal. We salute you, Tom!”

MISSION TWO ENTERTAINMENT WELCOMES BRAVE THE COLD
Mission Two Entertainment and Amuxe Publishing are thrilled to announce the signing of BRAVE THE COLD to its building roster of artists. Fronted by longtime Napalm Death member Mitch Harris and Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren, BRAVE THE COLD is a two-piece formed in 2018 as the two metal conglomerates focus their energies into a new level of aggression. The culmination is Scarcity, an eleven track collection of ferociousness breathing much-needed life into the heavy metal scene of 2020. Produced by the legendary Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly), Scarcity is set for release on October 2nd, 2020.
Harris adds, “Mission Two Entertainment progressed to their next phase in the music world and they have been the most inspiring team I've ever worked with! They truly believe with heart and soul to push this to the highest level possible as we forge ahead in our forever altered civilization.”
BRAVE THE COLD’s glitchy, byzantine death metal doesn’t just shift gears - it whips, stutters and jumps sideways into heavyweight dimensions. The entire Scarcity theme is a well-researched, scenic debate combining Dystopian views ranging from Anti-Elite, Anti-Media, Anti-Division, Anti-Oppression, End of Days Philosophies, Post-Apocalyptic Poetry, Mind Control, Economic Instability, Educational Infiltration and Global Political Deceit that compromises our spirituality of ONE COLLECTIVE VOICE. This is a global agenda that was a long time coming. It’s a reflection on how government can create urgency out of necessity.
Scarcity hits the world digitally on October 2, 2020, with limited-edition colored vinyl and CD coming December 11, 2020. Be the first to hear Scarcity when it gets released: Pre-Save on Spotify and Pre-Add on Apple Music.

Don’t Sleep’s full-length debut, Turn The Tide, out now
DON’T SLEEP have released their invigorating and catchy hardcore debut, Turn The Tide, through Mission Two Entertainment. Listen to Turn The Tide available everywhere.
“This album was such a journey,” singer Dave Smalley maps out. “From five friends getting together to share a stage in Pennsylvania years back, to discovering incredible musical karma, to doing the Warped Tour and touring with bands we love like Shelter, to working with legends like Walter Schreifels and Brian McTernan, and producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, it’s been incredible. And then to reach out to Tony (Brummel, founder Mission Two Entertainment) and to have everyone at the label embrace this thing, fan the sparks into flames, encourage us, nudge us, rock with us...and the fans and friends we've made already, music is our siren. It leads us to create. Don't stand around boots on the ground - before it gets too late, DON’T FUCKING SLEEP!”
The frontman adds, “This is one of my favorite musical journeys of my career. It’s one of my favorite albums of my career. And some of my personal songs I've ever recorded. Amazing players and friends. And this is just the beginning.”
Smalley, known for his time leading punk legends Dag Nasty, ALL, Down By Law, and DYS, recorded with friends and bandmates Jim Bedorf (drums), Tom McGrath (lead guitar), Garrett Rothman (bass), and Tony Bavaria (guitar) to create the fiery perfection with Turn The Tide.
Package deals for DON’T SLEEP – Turn The Tide are still available and feature new merchandise including t-shirts, long-sleeve, embroidered hat, and hoodies. Cro-Mags premiere “Between Wars” music video
Watch the music video premiere for CRO-MAGS – “Between Wars” and an exclusive interview on the project now on the Mission Two Entertainment YouTube Channel. CRO-MAGS kingpin Harley Flanagan is back with “Between Wars,” the gripping new music video from their latest opus, In The Beginning, available everywhere now. The track lends its name to Between Wars, the independent film starring Flanagan and The Sopranos star Michael Imperioli, due out later this year.
“This song was a lot of fun to work on as it gave me a chance to do something completely different,” says Flanagan about the instrumental track. “I recorded the song with just bass and drums, followed by all the arpeggiated guitar parts, and eventually I added the cellos and did Mongolian-style throat singing. I was inspired to add the cellos when I first heard Carlos "Lamont" Cooper playing in the NYC subway where he plays to make a living. Turns out he's an ex-gangbanger from NJ who has had a hard life and although we have had very different experiences, we have a lot of things in common; PTSD will do that.”
Imperioli adds, “Harley’s involvement and performance in Between Wars is organic, natural and necessary. He fit into the role like a glove. The life experience he brings to the project is authentic and true and he made us all raise our games.”
Imperioli and Flanagan sat down with the movie’s director Tom Phillips to discuss the music video, the film, and the importance of music scores and soundtracks. Between Wars takes an intimate look at the struggle of re-entering civilian life post-combat. The film follows veteran Marine Franny Malloy (Shaun Paul Costello) as he struggles with integrating himself back home in NYC after returning from the war in Afghanistan. Battling PTSD and self-destructive behaviors, he finds his only hope in fellow Marine turned PTSD psychologist, Sarge, played by Michael Imperioli. Harley Flanagan plays McManus, an old school Bronx Irish gangster and general madman.
DON’T SLEEP Premiere “We Remain” Video
DON’T SLEEP travel through time to perform their new, empowering anthem, “We Remain”, in the retro-inspired music video. Watch “We Remain” on the Mission Two Entertainment YouTube Channel now! Turn The Tide, featuring the singles “Refine Me”, “No Other Way”, and “We Remain”, arrives everywhere on September 4th.
“All sci-fi rebels, freaks and geeks, saddle up because this is one of the catchiest songs on the whole album!” promises DON’T SLEEP founder and vocalist Dave Smalley. “With the lyrics calling out ‘Just rebel scum outside your door,’ this song is directly about rebellion, which is either against whatever is dragging you down, or other times a quiet confrontation in your mind against all the craziness in the world. I cannot wait to be singing this live and sticking the mic out for everyone to join in. For now, we can all sing along in our personal DeLorean!”

MISSION TWO ENTERTAINMENT WELCOMES DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY
Mission Two Entertainment is proud to welcome DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY to the roster. Hailed as the next coming of rock history, DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY formed in 2017 by frontman Michael Orlando as guitar-driven, ‘gothy, catchy rock n roll’ (as described by Kerrang! Magazine), and quickly gained fans by the thousands, applauded for their intense visual live show.
‘This Is War’ is as hard and heavy as the streets of Los Angeles, where it was written. The track jumped up the Billboard Rock Indicator and Foundations Charts and has received airplay from countless radio supporters across the country. “In the wake of this madness, surrounded by uncertainty, the world needs hope. We need to preserve and survive. We need to fight, this is war,” declares Orlando. Originally recorded as a gift for patient fans, the song is the latest offering from DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY and comes from the band’s sophomore album, Doves In Glass Houses, set for release later this year on Mission Two Entertainment. The track was mastered by Andy Vandette (David Bowie, Rush) and mixed by Malcolm Springer (Matchbox 20, Fear Factory).
“In the middle of this pandemic, I got the most amazing phone call. The first thing I heard was ‘The world needs rock ‘n’ roll now more than ever!’ I could not agree more, and that voice was (Mission Two Entertainment founder) Tony Brummel. It had been a long time since we talked and we’ve been on the same wavelength about the state of music since we first met. Tony brought the world some of my favorite bands like Taking Back Sunday, Thursday and Hatebreed. I knew I needed to follow my gut and sign with his new label Mission Two Entertainment!”
DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY released their debut album, Alchemy, in 2018 on Victory Records, which produced two Billboard Top 40 placements with “I’ll Find A Way” and “No Way Out.” Both songs also reached Top 30 at Active Rock Radio. The band then spent the next two years on tour with John 5, Falling In Reverse, Adelita’s Way, Badflower and numerous festivals including Warped Tour, Epicenter, Inkcarceration, Welcome To Rockville and dozens of regional radio festivals.
Don't Sleep Premiere “Refine Me” Video, Announce Debut Full-Length Album, Turn The Tide, and Reveal Pre-Order Packages
As soon as the state of Pennsylvania gave the green-light to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, DON’T SLEEP immediately took advantage to record the music video “Refine Me,” an anthem about how to come out stronger on the other side. Vocalist Dave Smalley insists that, “We need to take inspiration from those that try to bring us down. Either through work, or family, or sadly in music - we get hurt in life, we all feel pain. People will betray you and as the old saying goes, ‘what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger’ echoes that truth, and “Refine Me” acts as a reminder to remember that. It is important to be forged and refined by the flames of adversity. Let your enemies make you stronger.” Watch “Refine Me” on the Mission Two Entertainment YouTube Channel now!
DON’T SLEEP will be releasing their debut full-length album, Turn The Tide, via Mission Two Entertainment on September 4th. Hailing from Harrisburg, PA / Washington D.C. DON’T SLEEP, features Dave Smalley, the singer of influential hardcore and punk bands: Dag Nasty, Down By Law, DYS, and All, as well as Garrett Rothman (bass), Tom McGrath (guitar), Jim Bedorf (drums), and Tony Bavaria (guitar), who have performed in Praise, Mindset, The Commercials, Very Americans, and Junction. While originally DON’T SLEEP started to back Dave up while playing songs from his former bands, the members all became fast friends and began writing new material that would eventually become Turn The Tide.
Bursting with energy and full-volume catchy choruses, Turn The Tide was produced by multi-Grammy-nominated partners Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Galactic Empire, Everclear), Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools), and Matt Holmes at Think Loud Studios. DON’T SLEEP teamed up with Walter Schreifels to co-write the songs “No Other Way”, “Reflection”, and “True North”. Additional engineering was done by Brian McTernan (Senses Fail, Snapcase, Thrice) at Salad Days Studio.

The Tiger Returns: Hardcore Pioneers Insight Return
Salt Lake City hardcore pioneers, INSIGHT, have returned to release a 19-track, career-spanning collection of material titled Reflection. To mark the occasion, No Echo is premiering the “Take It Back” music video for the first new song in 30 years, which holds true to INSIGHT’s trademark aggressive sound. The track is one of four new featured on Reflection, set for release on July 31st, 2020 on Mission Two Entertainment.
The band was one of Victory Records’ first signed artists back in 1989, releasing the out-of-print EP What Will It Take the following year. Fast forward 30 years later and those songs are seeing the light of day once again via Reflection. In addition to the EP and four new songs, the album features hard-to-find compilation tracks, and a live set from 1989 while on tour supporting Social Distortion.
“Reflection, the title definitely says it all,” laments vocalist Mark Starr. “This album is a retrospect and a reflection to the history of INSIGHT. Most of those songs were written when we were teenagers back in the ‘80s and still have meaning for those who supported us back then.” “With our new songs I hope it’s clear about how we feel about the current administration. I am very opposed to what is happening with our government but it’s safe to say most have felt that way for years. I also encourage living a meat-free, cruelty-free, lifestyle,” adds Starr.
Pre-order packages for INSIGHT – Reflection are available now and feature all-new merchandise including t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeve shirts, gym shorts, embroidered hat, and more. Reflection will be available as limited-edition colored vinyl with gatefold packaging. Visit the new Mission Two Entertainment Online Store to place your pre-order now!

“The idea for the video is that I'm rising from the grave and going on a mission... like I came back from the dead to become the Grim Reaper himself,” explains CRO-MAGS founder, bassist and vocalist Harley Flanagan on the clip. “I think anybody who knows the history of this band and my life will get it. It starts at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, where I will be buried with my family and in-laws. In the opening shot, the grave I'm in front of is actually my mothers.”
As CRO-MAGS toured with Motörhead in 1986, Flanagan adds, “Phil is one of my favorite guitarists of all time and I still can’t believe I have him playing on one of my songs! I am so honored. The b-roll of Phil was shot by his son Todd Campbell at his recording studio in Wales, UK.”

ANNOUNCING: MISSION TWO ENTERTAINMENT AND NEW SIGNINGS
After a historic 30 year run with close to 16 million albums sold and numerous platinum and gold albums and singles, the team behind VICTORY RECORDS has launched MISSION TWO ENTERTAINMENT.
“Same job, different name, bigger mission,” promises CEO/founder Tony Brummel. “I started Victory Records in 1989 with $800.00. I made a different deal and I have not submitted like so many other ‘independents.’ I kept the entire staff. Let’s go!”
The inaugural release will be delivered by hardcore legends CRO-MAGS, led by founder, bassist and vocalist Harley Flanagan. Debuting their first studio album since 2000 with the aptly titled In The Beginning, the album will be released on June 19th, 2020. The full-length features the latest single "The Final Test," as well as the previously released “From The Grave,” featuring ex-Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell. The NYC quartet recorded "The Quarantine Show" on March 15, 2020 live from New York City. “I first saw the CRO-MAGS open for Venom in 1985 in Chicago when I was 13 years old after moving home from the Bahamas. After that show, I knew I was not going to college,” says Brummel. The band is rounded out by guitarists Rocky George (Suicidal Tendencies), Gabby Abularach and drummer Garry Sullivan.
As one of the founders of the Salt Lake City punk scene, the reunited INSIGHT will issue Reflection later this summer. The 19-track collection spans their short but blistering career with four brand new tracks, rare live tracks and vintage studio material. Brummel says, “INSIGHT are a great band that my old band Even Score played with in Salt Lake City in 1990. Such an underrated band and better human beings.”
DON’T SLEEP, led by ex-DAG NASTY/DYS/ALL frontman Dave Smalley, will release their full length Mission Two debut later this year, Turn The Tide, with Smalley adding, “It is a new era for hardcore and I am really happy with it.” Brummel adds, “DYS and Dag Nasty were huge inspirations for me and I love Dave, the band and their manager Matt Holmes.”
